Saraswati College of Engineering, located near Kharghar was established by The Saraswati Education Society in the year 2004.
History :
Saraswati Education Society is a public charitable trust founded by Dr Nandkumar Y Tasgaonkar.
Since its inception, the trust has established ten institutions at Bhivpuri Road station, Karjat Taluka, District Raigad. The trust is running various professional courses in engineering, management and pharmacy in its institutions.
More than eight thousand students are pursuing various educational courses under the guidance of over one thousand well qualified teaching & non- Teaching staff.

Admissions :
Saraswati College of Engineeringhas no admission seats reserved for any Community. The admission process for seats is only through CAP Rounds based on MH – CET Score.
1) Undergraduate Admissions – ( Bachelor of Engineering - B.E. ) :
Saraswati Engineering College admits students for undergraduate programs based on their scores in the MH-CET ( Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test ).
2) Postgraduate Admissions - ( Master of Engineering - M. E. ) :
Admissions for postgraduate programs are through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or sponsorship. The college offers Master Programs in Manufacturing System Engineering & Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering.

The college is spread out over 10 acres of land. Spacious classrooms with sufficient illumination & ventilation.

The library is semi computerized from its inception. A wide variety of text books, hand books and national & international journals are available in the Reference Section.
Library provides OPAC, Internet, Reprographic, & CD-ROM to all users. Book bank facility is available to all the students. E-journal facility is also available providing competitive edge to the students and staff. The library is open from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm providing all the facilities of the reading hall, reference section and stack room to the users.
The library has very wide collection of some 28000 textbooks & 3000+ periodicals.
