MGM College of engineering and technology (MGMCET) is governed by Mahatma Gandhi Mission, A Charitable Trust. The college was established in the year 2008 by Mahatma Gandhi Mission near Panvel.
History :
Since its inception in 1982, MGM has now a chain of Engineering, Medical, Nursing, Management, Dental, Physiotherapy, Science, Journalism and Fine Arts spread over five educational centers, Navi Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nanded, Noida, Parbhani.
College Grade / Ranking :
MGMCET is awarded with ISO-9001-2000 Certification by RINA for providing technical education in Engineering field as per the guidelines of University of Mumbai.
The institute is one of the few engineering colleges to achieve this international standard for implementing and maintaining Quality Management System.

MGM CET is housed in a spacious Campus near Panvel at the junction of NH-4 and Bombay – Pune Expressway. It maintains scenic and lush green gardens around to provide a peaceful atmosphere favorable to learning.

Admissions :
M G M’s College of Engineering and Technologyhas no admission seats reserved for any Community. The admission process for seats is through CAP Rounds based on MH – CET Score.

M G M’s Engineering College admits students for undergraduate programs based on their scores in the MH-CET ( Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test ).

College Campus :
MGM CET is housed in a spacious Campus near Panvel in modern style of Architecture. It maintains picturesque and lush green gardens around to provide a soothing atmosphere conducive to learning.
MGMCET has spacious canteen at its campus providing nutritional food as well as snacks at reasonable rates and in a clean and hygienic environment. At the canteen, dishing out menus is highly popular among students as well as staffs.
MGMCET has its own Gymnasium system located in the College itself.
The college provides basic infrastructure for a variety of games. The college has made a very efficient use of its campus to provide students with a variety of sporting facilities. These facilities include a cricket field which can double up as a brilliant football field. The college also provides a field to play Volleyball.

Rs. 85,000 per year.
Library :
Library of MGMCET is known for its richest collection of books and journals. The institute has well stocked library with a selected collection of over 25,000 volumes. The Institute has a rich collection of books and periodicals, The college subscribes to many Indian and international journals and periodicals to keep up with the pace at which the technology is advancing.
The library functions from 8:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m on all working days. The library also has reprography facility & institutional membership of the Library of IIT Mumbaifor the students and staff. Internet access is available for all students in the college itself.
Festivals / College Events :
1) ‘ Action Arete ‘ - The Action Arete is an Intercollege sports events in the field of football, cricket, Volleyball and many more.
2) ‘ Fun Arete ‘ - (Cultual fest) The college hosts an annual 3-day cultural festival. Events include personality contest, dance, music, and many more.
3) ‘ CHRYSALLIS ’ - Tech Arete (Technical fest). The Tech Arete includes a National Level technical paper presentation organized by all branches. Guest lecturers by eminent personalities from industry and student forums like IEEE, IETE and CSI are also arranged as part of Tech Arete.
4) ' TARANG ' - is celebrated with a festive spirit.
Campus Placements :
The college is relatively new and the first batch passed out this year.
The Companies which visited the campus this year includes : Mastek , HCL , Roche , RCOM , Mu Sigma, Sika , Intravo Technolgy, etc.
