The institute is named after late Rev. Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues the founder of the Society of St. Francis Xavier Pilar. The college is affiliated to University of Mumbai.
The college was started with one course Production Engineering with intake capacity of just 60 students.

College Campus :
A fully equipped 9-storied building represents the main block of the institution. It houses lecture halls, laboratories of all departments, computer centers, a capacious library, dedicated internet centre for students, gymnasium, auditorium, canteen, etc. The campus is Wifi Enabled and the students are given specialized bar-coded ID cards to avail the required facilities.
The college has hostel services for the outside students at Kalina, Santacruz (East). The hostel facility at this time is available only for boy’s students.

The college hosts two festivals in an academic year.
1) EUPHORIA
The cultural festival, euphoria is an intra-college festival.
The annual cultural fest, Euphoria is the most awaited event of the year which brings the students and the staff members together.
2) CRESCENDO
The technical festival, Crescendo which attracts participants from many engineering colleges in Mumbai. Every year the fest is jeweled with the gentle presence of all students, staff members, past graduates and the trust officials.
